Votec Website
"Votec" is a company, that specialized on tester for grease traps and manhole cover lifters. It was a challenge to get to know and understand those topics and all the products they sell in order to create a completely new website. It was the first website I designed outside of university and at first I thought I maybe took on to much with this project.
I took me a few months to finalize the website, but now the outcome is a responsible informational website with a functioning order form.
I sketched the first drafts on paper but soon I changed to drafting in Adobe InDesign. At that time, I learned about the framework Bootstrap and tried to sketch my ideas according to the Bootstrap grid system.
I coded with HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap. That allowed me to build a fully responsive website. During the process I also took photos of the products and edited for web usage. The first time I learned what it meant to work with a real client and how to go woth their wishes without neglecting design and usability rules.
